Who do we send out?

We work in teams of 1/2/3 people. Normally we will assign solo cleaners to smaller jobs and the larger teams to spring cleans and end of lease cleans. We have found that when cleaners work together regularly they often end up being more efficient that when working independently – the cleaners can play to their strengths!

We understand that the people who come to your home and provide your service really matter. We carefully select every one of our cleaners and make sure they are capable of providing the extremely high level of service we expect.

We generally only send cleaners with 2-3+ years of experience, are all English speaking, police checked, reference checked, fully equipped, professional and to top it all off, fun and friendly too.

Edward Clayton, Maid To Clean Founder

Edward Clayton


I’m an English ex-engineer who fell in love with Melbourne while studying abroad and decided to call it home permanently in 2013. My parents always nurtured two things in me – an entrepreneurial spirit and the importance of a good work ethic. I’ve taken both these lessons to heart and integrated them in to the business ethos at Maid to Clean.

My role in Maid to Clean is split between supporting our office team through optimising and improving our systems and secondly, continually growing and building the business. Aside from managing Maid to Clean, I enjoy keeping myself busy with a range of activities including basketball, golf, tennis, beach volleyball (weather permitting), catching up with friends and of course, plenty of relaxing and watching Netflix!


Assigning Manager

Since the moment I was old enough to work, I’ve lived and breathed customer service. For almost 15 years I have had an extensive background in customer service, administration and management roles. My past career opportunities have taught me many valuable lessons in which has been embedded in my work ethic. I do believe one of the most important things in life is truly being satisfied and proud of where you work, which I am so grateful for is what I get from being part of the team here at Maid to Clean.

As the Assignment Manager, I manage, train and lead my team to ensure all work is assigned to our incredible cleaning teams in the most effective manner, ensuring we meet not only their requirements but those of our customers too. This involves working with large amounts of information, being able to multitask effectively and having strong attention to detail.

I am a big ‘family’ person and any spare moment I can grasp is usually spent with them. I have the most beautiful nieces and nephew one could ask for. I truly feel lucky to have the husband, family and friends that I do, and I cannot wait to have little kiddos of my own one day!


Operations Manager

I come from a strong background of Customer Service, Coordination roles and Sales Management. Multitasking, organisation and just getting things done have always been a strength of mine, however we spend so much of our lives working it is extremely important to me to love what I do and enjoy my time at work. This has made me extremely selective about the companies I join and I have not looked back since joining Maid to Clean.

At Maid to Clean I work with and support our Operations team. We are the main point of contact to all our customers and cleaning teams, and ensure a high level of customer service is consistently being provided. My team and I are always here to assist in any way we can whether it be by phone, email or text.

Outside of Maid to Clean you can always find me having a laugh with family and friends, spoiling my Niece & Nephew rotten, watching trash TV or a dodgy D grade horror movie.


Operations Assistant

I have always had a strong passion for animals. This led me to complete a diploma in Animal Technology and other certificates to land me in a role working in medical research for over 8 years. I was able to work with a large variety of animal species. I have also explored a career in personal training completing a certificate IV. I decided to leave animal work and explore my career opportunities which has landed me here at Maid to Clean.

My role in Maid to Clean is Operations Assistant. This position involves promptly acknowledging and actioning customer/contractor requests for same-day issues, as well as accurately maintaining and updating multiple programs. I must manage and solve complaints with the highest level of customer service and diligence. I also work with our customers and cleaning teams with the aim to build positive relationships and achieve the highest level of customer and cleaner satisfaction.

Outside of work I am incredibly close with my friends and family. Currently I am planning my wedding and enjoying all things wedding related! My other passions include traveling, camping, cooking and spending time with my pets.


Recruitment Specialist

I am an experienced individual in cross-cultural functions in engineering & personnel management. I started contributing as a recruiter and HR generalist to pursue my passion as a people’s person. My motivation and drive come with connecting and supporting people to find promising careers opportunities. I leverage the power of data-driven decisions and incorporate them into my practices as a recruiter to create lasting and magical experiences.

I am engaged as a Recruitment Specialist at Maid to Clean. I enjoy supporting my team by hiring excellent cleaning professionals for greater customer satisfaction and retention across Melbourne. The process to identify the right staff and bring them onboard motivates and keeps me engaged and committed.

I strongly believe in destiny and always strive for new adventures. My life outside of work is a stress buster that positively influences my work. I love cooking new recipes. I have a love for dancing which was discovered since I was a year old and, it still continues.

This has been my approach to everything throughout my life and in particular my career choices. Ranging from Nursing, Ambulance EMD, Gymnastics Coach, Barista, Customer Service, and of recent, Trainer/QCA with Maid To Clean. Throughout my life, l have always been drawn to random acts of kindness and find enjoyment in making a difference in people's lives. With this as my core being, l always found myself providing assistance within friend's and family's homes. Maybe it's the OCD in me, but l was, and still am, compelled to "fixing/cleaning" other people's issues they have in their homes.

Having moved to Melbourne in 2018 with my family, l approached Maid To Clean with the intention to be a casual cleaner and a stay at home mum. Maid To Clean facilitated this but it wasn't too long before my work was recognised as exceptional and the demand for my services increased. Having the acknowledgment, support and encouragement from the team at Maid To Clean certainly made settling into my busier schedule really easy. It soon became apparent that my knowledge and skills were needed in a more defined approach. It was then decided that offering a training program to potential cleaning teams and assessing all current cleaning teams was to be my fortea. I have not looked back and absolutely love my job.

Life outside Maid To Clean consists of myself, my husband, seven children, two grandchildren, and a menagerie of animals....dogs, cat, rabbit, chickens. My most prized indulgence is my cup of tea in the morning before the craziness of the day sets in. We enjoy bike riding, long walks, cooking, and tending to our new veggie garden....thanks COVID!!


Operations Assistant

I have spent my whole career working in Customer Service and Sales. After starting my career in the travel industry, I then moved on to various roles in call centres and customer service roles. After taking some time off to start a family, I have now returned and have started here with Maid to Clean where I can put my years of experience to good use.

In my role here at Maid to Clean, I work as part of the Operations Team. We are here to respond to all contact from our customers and cleaning teams in a timely manner. An average day is never the same, and often requires me to think of my feet and multitask - which I love!

Outside of Maid to Clean, I am a mum to 2 wonderful kids. We spend a lot of time with family and friends, and you can usually find us at a BBQ or family gathering. My kids take up most of my spare time, but I am also a big footy head (Go Saints!) and try to get to as many matches as possible.


Assigning Assistant

A self-motivated professional with significant experience in the areas of customer services. Over the last 15 years I have had experience in working for some of Australia's biggest companies in customer service and data entry roles. Communication has always been a strength of mine and I am able to put it to good use here at Maid to Clean.

My role in Maid to Clean as Assigning Assistant is to ensure that all our customers cleaning requests are assigned to our cleaners in a way that suits both our customer’s and cleaner’s needs.

My life outside of work is mostly consumed by music. Playing, practicing, and performing with one of my guitar's is what I find most enjoyable. I also enjoy sport the outdoors and traveling when I get a chance.


Operations Assistant

I have a background in administration, scheduling and customer service and have worked in a variety of settings from the large corporate to small family businesses. I have always enjoyed customer service and the challenges that come with it, believing that good communication and customer relationships are the cornerstone of any business.

With Maid to Clean, I am working within the Operations Team to bring the best in customer service. On the frontline of customer communications, I am enjoying the often-fast paced environment with a great team around me. Working from home can make things harder, however we are always sure to be supportive and have a bit of a laugh together, while still getting everything done!

Outside of work I have a passion for cooking and love trying new recipes. When I’m not in the kitchen I enjoy spending time with my dog and going for long walks in the bush. Luckily I live near a few great walking tracks where I can see lots of native fauna and flora.


Sales and Billing Leader

I was raised in an extremely large, loud and hilarious Eastern European family where the values of hard work, generosity and inclusiveness were the foundations of our upbringing. You truly encounter every kind of personality in a family so large and I cannot deny that it certainly gave me the skills to be able to build relationships with both colleagues and customers alike with ease.

I have been extremely fortunate in my career to have worked across a broad range of industries, developing and honing my skills in Sales and Customer Service. From the everyday roles to the truly left field, my experiences and the values instilled in me have provided the courage to seek knowledge, pursue opportunities and align myself with companies whose core values champion the wellbeing of the customer. My role at Maid to Clean as the Sales and Billings Lead is to promote the wonderful, dedicated and professional cleaning teams and services we have available and help you find the right service for you. We are not your regular cleaning business and strive to remove the chore that is cleaning by providing an exemplary cleaning service so you have more time to focus on what’s important to you. As the Sales and Billings Lead, my teams are your first port of call to make life easier and the last to assist you with invoicing and payments.

When I’m not chatting up a storm with our lovely customers you can find me engrossed in a good book, enjoying Melbourne’s WORLD class coffee scene, meditating, hoarding crystals, plants and other spiritual paraphernalia and spending time with the important people in my life.


Sales Assistant

After earning my Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the Philippine School of Business Administration, I entered the Business Process Outsourcing world to explore my passion for Sales and Customer Service. For more than 19 years, I’ve worked with several big companies in finance, IT and the travel industry as a Customer Service and Sales Representative.

My role in Maid to Clean as a Sales Assistant is to build a strong relationship with our customers by giving them a world class experience in Sales.

On my rest days, I spend time with my daughter strolling in nearby rice fields. We love the outdoors and outdoor animals. I play the piano, guitar and I love travel and food blogging.


Assigning Assistant

I am a recent Environmental Engineering graduate who spent most of the start of my professional life working behind microscopes and computers, data processing, and scientific and academic research. Over the past years, I spent time working in the events and bridal industry where I could exercise even more my natural communicative, caring, empathetic and team-player side.

My role at Maid to Clean as Assigning and Customer Service Assistant is to ensure the all the bookings are assigned to the right teams - supporting our cleaning teams with their daily schedules and customers with their requirements.

Outside of work, you can see me at local music gigs, spending time with my friends, travelling, listing to podcasts and photographing all the kind of beauty in the world.


Assigning Assistant

I'm an environmental engineer who decided to leave his faculty and develop skills in communication and planning. I have several years of experience in customer service and marketing as well as engineering and working in laboratories. I have always enjoyed working with numbers and solving problems. I'm not afraid of fast-changing circumstances and to face everyday challenges. After 27 years of living and studying in Poland I moved to Norway where I spent almost 3 years. Although a lot of snow and starry night skies are beautiful, I've decided to switch my heavy boots to thongs and enjoy sunny, Australian weather.

As the Assigning Assistant, I am responsible for planning schedules for our teams and ensure that all customers will receive service with the most suitable premium cleaners. I always try to be as supportive as I can and help my colleagues, whether they be from the office or those in the field.

Outside of work you can find me at one of the local zoos, especially at Healesville Sanctuary where I can get some reprieve from the big city. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, having lunch or dinner in the many restaurants of Melbourne, or just with a bowl of popcorn watching Netflix, Stan, Prime Video, Binge, Disney+, or one of the many other streaming platforms that I am subscribed to.


Assigning Assistant

I have spent the past 15 years of my career providing excellent customer service and stakeholder support using my technical, personal & communication skills for multiple companies both large and small. They have covered industries such as media & advertising, financial institutions as well as federal government entities. After a pretty hectic year in my career due to the pandemic I was seeking a new and exciting opportunity to grow and develop my skills further, which was what led me to joining the team here at Maid to Clean.

My role at Maid to Clean as an Assigning and Customer Service Assistant is to make sure that all our bookings from our customers are assigned to the most relevant and suitable cleaning teams. We also work closely with our cleaning teams to assist them with their schedules or with any queries or requests they may have, as well as assisting our customers with any requirements they may have regarding their service to ensure that we are able to provide the best experience possible.

Outside of work I enjoy being quite active when I can. I am heavily involved in multiple sporting communities, playing and coaching baseball as well as being involved in a tenpin bowling league. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing video games or just relaxing with a good movie or book, as I’m a Marvel buff since I was a child.


Operations and Customer Service Assistant

I grew up in North Queensland, then after finishing school, I left for my gap year to work in the ski fields of Canada. After managing to stretch my gap year across five years and several countries, I have ended up settling down in Melbourne and now I cant imagine living anywhere else. I have spent the last few years working in various customer service roles and have enjoyed using my interpersonal and communication skills across multiple industries.

I work as part of the Operations team here at MTC, which means that I spend my days helping our lovely customers, balancing competing priorities and helping to make sure everything runs smoothly throughout the day.

Outside of MTC, I can usually be found walking along the Yarra with my dog or hanging out in one of Melbourne's wonderful beer gardens, secondhand/craft markets or coffee shops.
